Horse Chestnut Stamps and Patches

Berlin Schlachtensee has such a beautiful landscape. It is finally fall and the leaves are changing colors, the cool breeze is almost unbearable, and the acorns have all fallen. All summer the Chestnuts have been falling off the trees. Their shells are spiked and when they fall and hit the ground they crack open and reveal the smooth round nut inside. I am absolutely the type of person to collect things like this. They sit on my widow sill and their moisture evaporates, the shells shrink and the nuts rot. This variety is not edible but still fun to collect.
